Experience the strong yet delicious Vietnamese Coffee only at Highlands.
Highlands Coffee, a Vietnamese import, opened their latest branch at City Mall Roxas City, Capiz. Since I'm fond of caffeine I gave it a try. has a huge and fantastic menu, as well as a large selection of vegan treats.They have tons of vegan baked goods like their G-Hofer Energy Bar (which is like crack for me), mini chocolate Bundt cake, carrot cake muffin, cookies, granola bars, and whatever they decide to carry for us vegans. I just love Highland, it is nostalgia and comfort all laced within an Americano with a splash of almond milk.
As soon as I took a sip, Oh boy was it strong and sweet!! I take my coffee strong, I also enjoy drinking espresso with a dash of cream and sugar so I’m definitely not a coffee wimp but this coffee was so strong I had to wait for some of the ice to melt. I wanted to do the happy dance with every sip. Next time I will just request for less condensed milk since it was a tad too sweet for me.
Even though the coffee was strong it lacked aroma or any distinct flavor nuance. I don’t mind though since the strength was enough to give me my morning wake up shot and more.
This is a GREAT place for people who don't drink alcohol and want to meet new people outside of a bar.
